Ferrobend Spiral Wound Gaskets Without Rings are designed for flange assemblies where centering rings are not required. The gasket consists only of precision wound metallic strips and soft filler material, providing excellent sealing capability and recovery.
These gaskets are widely used with tongue and groove, male and female, and grooved flanges where flange geometry itself accurately positions the gasket during installation.
Manufactured using premium stainless steels, nickel alloys, graphite, PTFE, and other high-performance filler materials, Ferrobend gaskets deliver reliable sealing performance for demanding industrial services.
Ferrobend Spiral Wound Gaskets Without Rings are manufactured with precision wound metallic strips and soft filler materials to provide excellent resilience, sealing performance, and recovery under demanding operating conditions.
V-shaped metallic strips are spirally wound with controlled tension to provide excellent strength, flexibility, and sealing efficiency.
Flexible graphite, PTFE, ceramic fiber, or other fillers are inserted between each metal winding to improve sealing performance and recovery.
The spiral winding structure provides excellent resilience, allowing the gasket to compensate for thermal expansion, vibration, and pressure fluctuations.
Material combinations allow operation across a wide temperature range depending on the selected metal and filler materials.

Correct installation ensures maximum sealing performance, uniform gasket compression, and long service life under demanding operating conditions.
Clean the flange faces thoroughly and inspect for scratches, corrosion, or damage before installing the gasket.
Carefully place the gasket inside the tongue & groove, male & female, or grooved flange ensuring proper seating.
Tighten flange bolts gradually using the recommended cross-tightening sequence to obtain even gasket compression.
Verify bolt tightness, flange alignment, and gasket seating before placing the system into operation.
Store the gasket in its original packaging until installation to prevent physical damage and contamination.
Keep the gasket in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Do not bend, fold, or stack heavy objects on the gasket during storage or transportation.
All incoming metallic strips and filler materials are inspected before production.
Every gasket is checked for thickness, winding quality, inside diameter, and outside diameter.
Inspection reports and material certificates are supplied whenever required by customers.
Finished products undergo a final quality inspection before packaging and dispatch.
| Inspection | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Visual Inspection | Checking winding quality, filler condition, and surface finish |
| Dimensional Verification | Verification of inside diameter, outside diameter, and thickness |
| Material Verification | Confirmation of specified metallic winding and filler materials |
| Documentation Review | Inspection records and material traceability verification |
