- Yield requirements exclude material under 0.020 in. (0.51 mm). Cold-rolled sheet / strip tensile and elongation requirements marked in the source exclude material under 0.010 in. (0.25 mm).
- The tensile table does not apply to deep-drawing and spinning-quality sheet and strip.
- For Alloy 601, iron is determined by difference; for Alloy 602 CA, nickel is determined by difference.
- Elongation uses a 2 in. / 50 mm or 4D gauge length.
From material form
to gasket component.
Review the listed material grade and its delivery condition when selecting winding strip or ring stock for a specified gasket design.
Material standards and gasket standards serve different purposes.
ASTM B168 addresses the material forms identified on this page. Finished metallic gasket requirements are addressed separately by the applicable gasket standard.

Which website material grades are included?
Alloy 600, Alloy 601, Alloy 602 CA.
What edition is used for these tables?
The tables use ASTM B168-08.
Are material properties independent of condition?
No. The mechanical table identifies the applicable product form, condition and dimensional range for each listed row.
