- Yield requirements exclude thickness under 0.020 in. (0.51 mm). Alloy 800 cold-rolled strip elongation excludes thickness under 0.010 in. (0.25 mm).
- Annealed 800H and 800HT have an average grain size of ASTM No. 5 or coarser.
- The listed sheet / strip forms for 800H and 800HT are available only at 0.115 in. (2.92 mm) and above in this edition.
- Deep-drawing and spinning-quality Alloy 800 uses separate hardness and grain-size requirements.
From material form
to gasket component.
Review the listed material grade and its delivery condition when selecting winding strip or ring stock for a specified gasket design.
Material standards and gasket standards serve different purposes.
ASTM B409 addresses the material forms identified on this page. Finished metallic gasket requirements are addressed separately by the applicable gasket standard.

Which website material grades are included?
Alloy 800, Alloy 800H, Alloy 800HT.
What edition is used for these tables?
The tables use ASTM B409-96.
Are material properties independent of condition?
No. The mechanical table identifies the applicable product form, condition and dimensional range for each listed row.
